Important Wedding Details
Here are important details for the upcoming wedding extravaganza. Please read and reach out to us with any questions.
September 8th, 6 to 10pm – Open Mic
Open Mics have been a huge part of our relationship, and for the last 3.5 years, we have hosted an open mic on zoom. For our wedding celebration, we will host a hybrid in person/zoom open mic at our home on Friday from 6 to 10pm.
If you are interested in joining the open mic to perform or just to hang out, please text me at 415-515-3978 or email me at candymsmallwood@gmail.com. We will have snacks and beverages.
September 9th, 3 to 9pm – Bay View Boat Club
We are very excited you are joining our wedding party at the Bay View Boat Club on September 9th. The boat club is located at 459 Terry A. Francois Boulevard. It’s a small yellow building along the waterfront in the Mission Bay area of San Francisco.
Parking and transportation. The boat club is close to bus stops for the 22, 15, and T-train public transportation lines. If you ride your bike, you can lock it up at the club. There is some parking in a lot just south of the club, meters are $0.50/hr – be careful not to park in any of the spaces reserved for boat trailers
The boat club is a private club, and all visitors are required to sign the guest book and wear a name tag — this is a condition of their liquor license. Folks have reached out regarding what to wear, this is a very casual place and, as long as you have shoes and clothes on, you will be fine :).
We will have an open bar for the party, please tip the volunteer bartenders generously for putting up with us.
There will be live music throughout the event, indoors and outdoors. The night will close out with a jazz jam from 8 to 9pm. If you have your ax, feel free to bring it, hang out, close out the evening with some sweet, sweet tunes – there is a piano at the boat club.
We did not hire a photographer, so we ask all of our friends to take photos and share them.
There will be food: snacks from 3 to 4:30, buffet style warm food from 4:30, and desserts.
September 10th, 11 to 11:30am – Cafe International
Our wedding ceremony is taking place where our love story started to take root, at Cafe International. The cafe will remain open to the public. Cafe International has hit a rough patch with two burglaries back-to-back, we are excited to have friends and family join us at this special place and encourage guests to buy something if possible. Come and celebrate with us.
Zahra, the owner of the Cafe, will officiate the ceremony that will start at 11am sharp and conclude by 11:30am. A champagne toast will follow. We plan to spend some time hanging out for the Sunday Jazz Jam and celebrate life, music, friendship, and love.
We encourage folks to wear whatever they desire and we do not have a dress code for any of our events. Our only request is that you please take lots of photos.
